The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Edward Yau, is in charge of the working group on medical supplies, coordinating the supply of anti-epidemic supplies from the mainland.
As of today (27th), the working group has received about 14 million rapid antigen test kits, about 11 million N95 and KN95 masks, and about 200,000 clip-on pulse oximeters.
In addition, together with the batch arriving in Hong Kong next Monday, a total of 350,000 boxes of anti-epidemic Chinese patent medicines donated by the state have been received so far.

The working group has received about 14 million rapid antigen test kits, some of which are reserved for "compulsory testing by all", of which about 7 million test kits have been distributed to designated high-risk and specific groups through relevant departments, such as safety Staff and residents of nursing homes for the elderly and the disabled, medical staff, cleaners, cross-boundary truck drivers, etc.
The Home Affairs Department also distributed 1.8 million rapid antigen test kits to citizens in various districts through the "Hong Kong Community Anti-epidemic Link".
In addition, the working group has so far received about 11 million N95 and KN95 masks, which are mainly reserved for public use during the period of "mandatory testing for all", and about 500,000 masks have also been distributed to the frontline staff of the Department of Health and the disciplined forces for use.
The team has also received about 200,000 clip-on pulse oximeters from the Mainland and distributed them to the Department of Health and the Hospital Authority for use by patients.
In addition, the working group has received a total of 350,000 boxes of anti-epidemic Chinese patent medicine donated by the state, of which 70,000 boxes and 50,000 boxes of Chinese patent medicine have been distributed to the community and other enthusiastic organizations respectively.
The remaining 230,000 boxes of medicines will be distributed through relevant departments to those receiving treatment at 18 Chinese medicine clinics under the HA and to confirmed patients in isolation facilities.
