With a vigil for peace on Tuesday, all Tölzers can express their dismay at the war in Ukraine.
The town hall is also setting an example.

– The horror of the war in Ukraine is great worldwide – and in Bad Tölz, too, people are publicly expressing their dismay these days.
A number of believers gathered on Saturday for a quiet prayer for peace in the parish church and the Johanneskirche.
Mayor Ingo Mehner has ordered mourning flags to be displayed on public buildings this Monday as a sign of mourning.

"The desire for peace in Europe can be clearly felt in our city," explains Mehner.
“By flying the flag, we are showing that we are not indifferent to this war in Europe.
We wish the people of Ukraine peace and security as soon as possible.”

Under the heading "Peace in Europe!
Solidarity with the Ukrainian people” the initiators Sandra Schönpflug and Thomas Maurer are calling for a vigil on Tuesday, March 1st at 6 p.m. at the Winzerer.
"Everyone is invited who wants to share and express their dismay at the war in Ukraine with us," they write.
