In Wattersdorf near Weyarn, a house that has been vacant for a long time is getting a future: the striking listed property "Beim Eierkuefer" is to be renovated.
Weyarn
- Listed properties often have a sad fate: The renovation is subject to strict conditions and is therefore so expensive that the owners cannot afford the financing.
The houses decay and become an eyesore.
An old house in Wattersdorf escapes such a bleak future.
"An owner has been found who wants to renovate the house and turn it into residential use," announced Weyarn Mayor Leonhard Wöhr (CSU) at the most recent meeting of the municipal council.
It is a building on the south side of Weyarner Straße directly at the narrow point.
"Protruding half-hipped roof, gable arbor and plaster decor, built around 1820" - with these features the house is listed in the list of monuments.
As district master builder Christian Boiger explains when asked, it was acquired by a married couple of architects.
"It's extremely gratifying that this long-orphaned home has found lovers," he says.
Boiger also knows a lot about the history of the house.
The former owner was a natural history dealer, explains the district master builder, hence the house name "By the Egg Buyer".
It can be assumed that the house previously had an official connection with Hofmarksschloss Wattersdorf, which has not existed since the 1930s.
Architect couple wants to renovate listed property
The couple of architects who have now acquired the house have presented a very good basic assessment and preliminary planning in terms of monument protection, explains Boiger.
The planning has already been coordinated down to the last detail with the lower monument protection authority at the district office and the state office for monument protection.
"The new owners have compiled a versatile compendium of plans, photos, drawings and text passages in which the history of the house is processed and the renovation plan is based on this," says the district master builder.
"So far it seems to be an exemplary renovation or revitalization of a monument."
