Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Malki affirmed that the international community's double standards encourage the Israeli occupation to continue its crimes against the Palestinian people, calling for an end to the policy of double standards, applying the rules of international and humanitarian law, and holding the occupation accountable for its violations.
Al-Maliki said during today's speech before the 49th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council: (Israel) continues to commit crimes against the Palestinian people and the international community appeases the oppressor and closes the paths of justice in the face of the oppressed, indicating that the meetings of the Human Rights Council witnessed disgraceful statements that support the occupation and justify violations. which amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity against the Palestinian people.
Al-Maliki pointed to the need for the international community to move to stop the occupation's attempts to displace Palestinians from Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and Silwan town in occupied Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank to expand settlement operations.
Al-Maliki explained that (Israel) prevents United Nations officials, investigators and human rights defenders from entering the Palestinian territories and investigating the crimes it committed with the aim of impunity, pointing out that despite international reports that prove with facts and irrefutable evidence that (Israel) is a colonial occupation regime that practices apartheid The oppression against the Palestinian people is the failure of the international community to apply international law and this must be put to an end.
