(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 28 - With a letter to Prime Minister Draghi and to the ministers Speranza and Bianchi, the national network of schools inpresenza asks that "Italy take the path started in many other European countries, eliminating all existing restrictions. that if on the one hand they have contributed to the containment of the pandemic, on the other they can cause - and have caused - serious damage on a psychological, social level and in terms of didactic-educational relationality, especially on children and young people ".
"In our opinion it is necessary to think - write parents, teachers, educators adhering to the Network - to the restart of the country and of the entire community starting from those who have suffered the most during the pandemic or the Italian students: we ask for the elimination of the mask and the physical distancing in school environment, as well as the elimination of the green pass to access activities such as sports, educational trips, entrances to exhibitions, cinemas, museums, access to libraries and to school and extra-school training courses. "
As regards the use of the Green pass for students and minors, the Network strongly reiterates its opposition, recalling "
that this tool for the under 18s is provided only in Italy and that no other European country has deprived unvaccinated children of sport and social life.
We therefore ask for its complete elimination for children and students from every cycle, including university students ".
"The Green Pass tool goes against the main values of the School such as inclusiveness and overcoming differences: if it is true that the green pass is not required for students to access schools, it is unheard of that it is required on the means of transport used by students to reach the same (and this is also a sad primer); it is important to underline that this limits all the possibilities of training experiences such as educational trips or visits which are of fundamental importance for teaching. The school is not just a frontal lesson but is made up of experiences, it is not a place closed in on itself but needs to open up to the society that surrounds it in order to be truly a place of growth and well-being.requesting the green pass from young people to access sports activities is really inconsistent with the objective of protecting the health of citizens, considering that removing young people from sport leads to disease rather than health and even on this we know that the data on childhood obesity and youth as well as a tendency to sedentary lifestyle is increasing ", conclude parents, educators and teachers.
