Extensive construction will soon take place at Fürstenfeldbruck station, and platform 1 will be upgraded to accommodate regional trains.
As a result, there will soon be fewer parking spaces.
Fürstenfeldbruck - According to a statement from the city, construction will start at the end of March.
It should start with setting up the construction site areas.
However, in order to process the construction site operations, Deutsche Bahn needs space in the car parks west of the station (in front of the model railway club) and in the large P+R area along Oskar-von-Miller-Straße.
Both car parks are to be completely or partially closed for this purpose from March 25th.
The western part of the P+R on Oskar-von-Miller-Straße will therefore be closed.
The eastern area and the bicycle parking facilities can still be used.
The upper parking lot next to the tracks will be completely closed.
The bicycle parking facilities there will be closed from March 15, 2022.
The affected car and bicycle parking spaces will be eliminated without replacement.
From Tuesday, March 15, the city is asking that no more bicycles be parked in the bicycle racks directly next to the platforms and no more bicycles should be locked to railings or other objects in the area of the station building - such as the stairs to the pedestrian underpass.
“Bikes left there on March 15 will be removed and stored by the city.
These can be picked up by the owners at the building yard against proof (e.g. frame number in the purchase contract, matching key for the bicycle lock)," says the city.
The closures are expected to last until the end of November.
Further information on the closures can be found on the city's website (www.fuerstenfeldbruck.de).
