The company investing in the Al-Thawra Sugar Factory in the Maskana area in the countryside of Aleppo has completed the removal and removal of rubble in preparation for launching the rehabilitation and development operations, which are expected to end during the 3-year contract period, after which the process of manufacturing sugar beet will begin.
General Director of the General Sugar Corporation, Engineer Saad Eddin Al-Ali, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the investment, rehabilitation and development work of Al-Thawra Sugar Company began in September of last year and is proceeding according to the established program.
Al-Ali pointed out that the investing company, after removing the remnants of terrorist groups and removing the rubble and dust, began to rehabilitate the infrastructure of the buildings and the water line feeding the company, as well as the permanent electrical supply line necessary for maintenance operations, from the Rasm Al-Ghazal station, which is 12.5 km away from the company, with a capacity of 8 megabytes, with the processing of towers, masts and their accessories. And the installation of an electricity transmission center in the company, which is currently under trial.
Al-Ali indicated that the investing company also started to equip the buildings with basic services in order to benefit from them as a temporary residence for workers during the rehabilitation period, in addition to signing a local contract to replace the juice extraction body in the company (divison) from stainless steel, and contracting to import 500 tons of multi-thickness stainless steel sheets on To take advantage of the remaining stainless steel in the manufacture of pipes and some production line bodies.
The Director General of the Corporation explained that the contract for the rehabilitation and development of the company will last for a period of three years, expecting that the invested Al-Masir Company will complete the development and rehabilitation works before the specified period and launch the production process therein for the manufacture of sugar beet, in addition to establishing a line in the company for sugar refining, stressing that the contract includes that the Sugar Company will remain Public ownership and workers on its owners with retraining and rehabilitation to use modern technology.
For his part, the director of Maskana Factory, Engineer Muhammad Assaf, indicated that the actual start of development work is expected with the start of the stability of the electrical supply and the arrival of stainless steel plates. Within the rehabilitation work in the company.
