The hall of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel Church in Lattakia hosted the signing ceremony of the book “A borrowed war and people without faces” by Samer Awad, in the presence of literary and intellectual figures.
The book dealt with a series of thoughts that came to the writer's mind, reflecting his feelings towards his homeland and before history, accompanied by dreams of elevating reality to a bright future.
The book, which is 166 pages and contains 20 chapters, delves into the Syrian dimension, philosophically, ideologically and politically, and deals with the war on Syria and the wars that took place before and are currently taking place. And we counter it.
The book devotes chapters to talk about media, moderation, political silence, the national positions of the Christians of the East, and the national pride of the Syrians, in addition to a number of concepts and principles that were widely talked about during the war.
The book concludes by emphasizing the importance of personal quest for each person to have his civilized project that supports and calls for raising Syria's status and addressing the calamities that this region is facing, and not just waiting.
Among the attendees, Samer Zureik and Elias presented a description of the book, enriching it with emotional details and memories. During the signing ceremony, he presented a presentation of pictures about the ruins of Syria and its natural areas.
It is noteworthy that the book was issued by the Arab House in Damascus.
