Ukraine has requested helmets and life jackets from Israel for medical teams treating the wounded on the ground
The Ukrainian ambassador met with Bennett's political adviser and forwarded the request, for the crews exposed to the shooting.
The Prime Minister's Office declined to comment. Kyiv also wants Jerusalem to sell it defensive equipment, but senior Israeli officials said that "at this stage there is no intention to provide equipment that can be used militarily."

The Ukrainian ambassador to Israel met today with Prime Minister Shimrit Meir's political adviser and sent her a request to provide Ukraine with protective equipment such as helmets and protective vests for medical teams that treat the wounded and exposed to gunfire, Walla !.
The Prime Minister's Office refused to comment.
The Ukrainians also want Israel to sell them protective equipment for which it has previously issued an export license such as radios and systems for dealing with unmanned aircraft.
Senior Israeli officials have said that Israel has no intention at this stage to provide Ukraine with any equipment that can be used militarily - even if only defensively.
"We are focused on humanitarian aid and hope to do much more," said senior Israeli officials.
Tomorrow, three planes with 100 tons of humanitarian aid will take off for Israel from Israel.
Equipment includes water purification systems, coats and blankets, medical equipment, tents and sleeping bags.
The planes will land in Poland and transport humanitarian aid in trucks to Ukrainian territory.

Last week, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zlansky and offered him Israel's assistance "in all humanitarian aid," the Prime Minister's Office said.
Earlier, Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevgeny Kornichuk said in a statement that they "discussed urgent humanitarian aid from Israel, and I am happy to say that we expect to receive it in the coming hours."
He added in a statement that "this is mainly medical assistance to the hospitals. We are not talking about soldiers. You have your security matters and we are smart enough not to offer it."
