Security experts in Israel claim that the Ukrainian military's weapons and tactics have disrupted plans for the Russian military, which expected a rapid occupation of the country.

Many difficulties relate to the functioning of the Russian Air Force.

While the Russian Defense Ministry reported that it hit no less than 900 Ukrainian military strategic sites in the first two days, which included air defense batteries, command and control centers, emergency and ammunition depots, aircraft, tanks and anti-aircraft guns - Russia's army is advancing relatively slowly. , For example, that Russia was surprised by the level of military skill of the Ukrainians in operating remotely manned aircraft (as UAVs).

To avoid injuring civilians, the Russian military does not use bombers in built-up areas or fighter jets, but mainly in combat helicopters.

However, the Russian army does not have enough accurate missiles to hit many targets, certainly mobile targets.

What’s more: The use of aircraft encountered surprising Ukrainian resistance that included fantasy missiles, Bock and shoulder-fired missiles like the Strela Westinger made in the United States.

Therefore, the Russians were forced to rush with a ground invasion - but even this encountered determined opposition from the Ukrainians, who demonstrated high skill in the use of Javelin and NLA-type shoulder-fired missiles, among others.

Here are some of the combat systems used by the Ukrainian army in the fight against the Russian invasion.

American Stinger missile

The Stinger, the horror of combat helicopters, is an American shoulder-fired missile against aircraft.

The missile is infrared and ultraviolet guided, and can act against an approaching and receding target within a range of about eight kilometers.

Since the 1990s the missile has been substantially upgraded, becoming one of the threats to the Russian Air Force in Afghanistan.

The missile is easy to operate and one soldier is enough to launch it.

Today, it is a very popular missile among Western and Middle Eastern armies.

For the past eight years the Ukrainian military has been highly skilled in using missiles, with the assistance of the United States.

In the current war, the Ukrainian Stinger Squads have recorded successes in downing Russian aircraft, with a double-digit number of bombs dropped - including transport planes and fighter helicopters.

In recent days, the Dutch Ministry of Defense has announced that it is sending 200 Stinger missiles to the Ukrainian army.

This, along with American aid in anti-aircraft missiles.

The "Book", anti-aircraft launching batteries

According to foreign experts, the Ukrainian army - which was previously in charge of protecting its territory from the Soviet Union using a very wide range of radars and diverse air defense batteries - has sold them gradually in recent years mainly due to systems obsolescence and maintenance costs.

However, it is estimated that the Ukrainians still have Russian "Bock" portable air defense batteries, which the Ukrainian army has managed to hide.

It is an armored combat vehicle that includes a radar and six missile launchers, which launch three missiles in parallel towards the target. A more advanced "Bock" carries 13 missiles, and its detection range is 85 km.

"Panzer"

Experts say that since the Russian army is having difficulty advancing to the bottom in eastern Ukraine, it can be estimated with high probability that it identifies Ukraine's air defense systems there and presumably also a "panzer".

It is a truck carrying a search and tracking radar, six missile and cannon launchers.

The Panzer-1 missile is capable of reaching speeds of 1,100 meters per second for a range of 12 km. Its 30 mm diameter cannons are equipped with 700 different types of shells, and reach a firing rate of 2,500 shells per minute for a range of up to four kilometers.

The cannons, combined with the missiles, can intercept low-altitude targets - even as UAVs.

According to experts, the Ukrainians had many Panzer-1 systems made in Russia before the invasion, but it is not clear whether they were destroyed or survived thanks to fraud committed by the Ukrainians.
