It is tantamount to a public humiliation of pop singer Florian Silbereisen: In the core target group of 14 to 49-year-old TV viewers, the DSDS boss of “7 days, 7 heads” with Guido Cantz was beaten in terms of ratings.

Guido Cantz more popular than Florian Silbereisen
Florian Silbereisen, who, as the successor to DSDS legend Dieter Bohlen, wanted to convince with quality instead of stupid sayings, was downright humiliated by Guido Cantz (50) on Saturday evening.
The former "Do you understand fun?" moderator was able to get better ratings with his third episode "7 days, 7 heads" than Florian Silbereisen with "Deutschland sucht den Superstar."
The DSDS quota disaster is also the focus of the reporting by the industry service “DWDL”: “Following DSDS (here all broadcast dates on TV) at least “7 days, 7 heads” was able to show a double-digit value again after the quota slump last week, but only Conceivably tight: the market share in the classic target group was exactly 10.0 percent this time,” reports dwdl.de.

Florian Silbereisen publicly humiliated: Guido Cantz has better ratings than DSDS
For comparison: Florian Silbereisen achieved a market share of only 9.8 percent in the core target group. Guido Cantz (MA: 10 percent) attracted more TV viewers to RTL than the hit star.
The flirting show "Take Me Out" performed even better than DSDS and "7 days, 7 heads": Here the market share was 10.3 percent.
Despite the bad ratings on Saturday evening: RTL was still able to keep up with ProSieben's show competition, even if the "staple show" recovered slightly from the significant drop in the previous week and now has an 8.3 percent market share in the 14 to 49 -year-olds, reports dwdl.de.
Possible reasons for the slump in DSDS ratings
There is a lot of speculation and fan opinions on Facebook and Twitter about the reasons for the poor ratings for DSDS.
Here are three arguments that run like a thread through the comment columns on Facebook:
The expulsion of DSDS legend Dieter Bohlen: Since then, many fans have turned their backs on the RTL show.
The replacement by pop star Florian Silbereisen: too unmodern, too uncool, too fake.
Too many good singers, too little trash and rough sayings.
