Pink and at a very low price but slower: the new trains marketed by SNCF under the Ouigo brand will be launched on April 11 on the Paris-Lyon and Paris-Nantes lines, the company said on Tuesday.
Operated on the model of the low-cost TGV Ouigo, these trains will use Corail coaches refreshed and repainted in pink.
Tickets will cost 10 to 30 euros for adults, with a fixed price over the entire sales period until the departure of the train, SNCF Voyageurs said in a press release.
The service, called “Ouigo Classic Train”, will offer two daily round trips between Paris-Bercy and Lyon-Perrache, which will take between 4:45 and 5:15 hours, with stops in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (from June ), Melun, Dijon, Chalon-sur-Saône and Mâcon.
It will take between 3:30 and 4:15 hours to get from Paris-Austerlitz to Nantes, with three round trips per day passing through Le Mans or Tours, with stops respectively at Juvisy, Massy-Palaiseau, Versailles-Chantiers, Chartres , Le Mans and Angers and Juvisy, Les Aubrais, Blois, Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, Saumur and Angers.
A “snacking” service for itinerant sales will be offered in these pink trains “with a simple card and accessible products”, specified SNCF Voyageurs.

Five euros for children, whatever the route

The trains will be open for sale 45 days before departure.
The tickets will be exchangeable under the same conditions as Ouigo Grande Vitesse: change of timetable and/or date and name, on the same destination, subject to exchange costs and any price difference.
Children will pay 5 euros regardless of the route.
The same price will apply for additional baggage - in addition to one carry-on bag and one carry-on bag - from 2023, the statement said.
As for bicycles, they can be boarded for 5 euros if they are dismantled and stored in a cover, and 10 euros if they remain whole.
Sales will open on Wednesday, with all tickets being offered at 5 euros on Wednesday and Thursday.
This new service will be operated by the company Oslo (acronym for “Freely Organized Services Offer”), a subsidiary of SNCF Voyageurs.
