Rio de Janeiro - what one does not do for love!

Sophia Thomalla is currently traveling across the globe – apparently always to be close to her love Alexander Zverev* (24).

Most recently, she basked under the Mexican sun while her boyfriend took part in the ATP tournament and made headlines there.

Reason: The Olympic champion freaked out on the tennis court, hit the referee's chair several times and just missed the referee.

In the end, the outburst of anger not only cost a fine of 40,000 euros, but also the end for Alexander Zverev.

The tennis star was disqualified.

But anyone who thinks that the tennis player and his girlfriend are taking a break from jet set life is wrong.

The couple is headed to South America – to Rio de Janeiro to be precise.

Sophia Thomalla: Next tennis cup for Alexander Zverev - couple travels to Brazil

The Davis Cup starts in Brazil, for which Alexander Zverev* can step in at short notice.

For Sophia Thomalla, this also means: Get on the plane and quickly to Copacabana.

Other tennis stars, such as Kevin Krawietz (30), also travel to the coastal metropolis to take part in the tournament there.

Early Monday morning, February 28, the two-time Grand Slam winner posts a short video.

In it he shows his departure from Germany to Brazil.

"Arrived in Rio with Team D," writes the Bavarian and jokes: "Some things you have to take care of yourself." What does he mean by that?

Kevin Krawietz is allowed to sit in the cockpit for a short snapshot and hold the controls of the Lufthansa plane.

Arriving at the stand, the tennis star meets Sophia Thomalla.

The model posted a funny snap on her Instagram page.

The 30-year-old can be seen making a heart shape with his hand and seemingly trying to frame the sunset in the background.

However, that works more badly than right.

Sophia Thomalla comments with "Nailed it".

The tennis pro also shares the photo in his story and also writes: "Further right, further right then it's good."

Sophia Thomalla talks about relationships – "a challenge"

Where Sophia Thomalla's friend is at this point is unclear.

He cannot be seen in any of the photos, not even in a group photo with Krawietz, Philipp Petzschner and Jan-Lennard Struff, who appear to be on their way to tennis training.

Sophia Thomalla recently spoke about her relationship with the Olympic champion in the podcast "All roads lead to fame".

Especially the many trips pose a few difficulties for the couple.

"Coordinating the schedule so that we see each other regularly is challenging but doable," revealed the model.

But: She still accompanies her boyfriend to his tournaments, after all she wants to be a support for him.

In the fall of 2021, the two announced that they were in a relationship*.

The Berliner recently surprised her fans with a new styling.

"I have my innocence back," the TV star comments on the picture.
