A serious car accident occurred on Tseung Kwan O Road.
At about 3:45 in the morning today (March 2), a food truck slanted along Tseung Kwan O Road towards Kwun Tong.
On the way to the opposite side of Xingtian Village, Lam Tin, it suddenly lost control and violently shook the rock on the right and the noise barrier, then rushed forward 10 meters, and then stopped after hitting the rock.
After the accident, the front end of the truck was severely damaged, and the male driver was trapped in the cab that was turned into scrap metal. The fire department dispatched a collapsed search and rescue team to try to rescue him. The emergency medical team of the Hospital Authority also arrived to assist, but it took more than an hour to be rescued. The driver and the other two male workers who followed the car were rescued first and were both injured and sent to the hospital.
At the scene, a large piece of the noise barrier was knocked down, a large hole was pierced, and debris was left on the road.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
Traffic was blocked due to the accident.
