The United States recommended Wednesday March 2 to its nationals to avoid Hong Kong because of the drastic measures applied in the city to fight against the Covid-19, under which young children can be separated from their parents.

“In some cases, children who tested positive in Hong Kong have been separated from their parents and kept in solitary confinement
,” said a State Department statement released by the US Consulate in Hong Kong.
