America could not take it anymore and terminated Santiago Solari's contract.
The Eagles of America announced on Wednesday the dismissal of the coach due to the crisis in the results of the team, which is penultimate in the Clausura tournament classification.
"Club América informs that the coaching staff concludes its cycle in the men's first team. This decision becomes effective as of today," América reported in a statement.

Solari came to the Eagles to direct the Clausura 2021 tournament but in the postseason of that tournament and the Apertura 2021, he did not go beyond the quarterfinals.

Led by Solari, the Coapa team lost the final of the Concacaf Champions League last October.
The crisis of results increased this year with just one win, three draws, four losses and six points that have him in penultimate place in the Clausura.
