Today, the European Union has banned the broadcast and distribution of Sputnik and RT content on the territory of the EU countries.
The Union also decided to terminate all licenses and contracts for European organizations to distribute RT and Sputnik content on the territory of the countries of the Union.
The ban includes RT England, RT Britain, RT Germany, RT Spain and Sputnik.
The Meta company announced the ban on the applications of all the resources of the RT and Sputnik channels on its platform.
The press service of the media group Rossiya Segodnya said: Meta closed the applications of all the resources of our media group overnight, as with the closure of Google News and Google Discover services, we consider this a manifestation of censorship.
The social network, Twitter, announced earlier that it would limit the access of tweets linked to Russian news sources affiliated with Moscow, hours after the European Union announced the ban on Sputnik and RT.
