Donald Trump no longer has access to US nuclear weapons.

However, he indicated that he sees this as a response to Putin's aggression.

Munich – What would the world look like if Donald Trump were still President of the United States of America?

How do you think the Republican would have reacted when news of Vladimir Putin's Russia's attack on Ukraine spread around the world?

Trump himself has now shed light on this question very publicly.

At the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, the CPAC in Orlando, Florida, he also spoke on the current dominant topic, the Ukraine war (The Background to the Ukraine-Russia War).

Trump recently described Putin's actions as "brilliant" and "smart".

He repeated the latter, but backtracked in his praise of Putin.

Trump blames Joe Biden for the war in Ukraine

Trump said Russia's encroachment into Ukraine was "appalling, an atrocity that should never have happened."

We pray for the proud people of Ukraine.” Trump emphasized that he always got along well with Putin.

Unsurprisingly, he blames one man for the war: Joe Biden.

According to Trump, the Democrat, who defeated Trump in the last presidential election, appears weak abroad, also because of the "pathetic withdrawal from Afghanistan" - this is how Putin felt strong enough to invade.

With him as President, the war would never have happened.

Trump was also asked at the event what exactly he would do differently than Biden.

Trump replied that he "knew exactly what to do now."

There are "things he [Biden] needs to do now, but I don't want to say that right now.

That would not be appropriate.

But there are things he could do that would be very strong, very powerful, that would end things very quickly."

Donald Trump: "We are the largest nuclear power in the world"

Trump also recalled that the United States is the world's largest nuclear power.

His administration had the nuclear weapons modernized.

He also mentioned the "Space Force" - the US space force created under his aegis.

This has “a lot to do with what we are talking about here”.

And not only space, a completely different region also came to Trump's mind when talking about Ukraine: Mexico.

Biden should rather concern himself with the "invasion" of the Mexican migrants than "the invasion of a foreign country a thousand miles away".
