At the Bundesliga club FSV Mainz 05, 19 people were infected with the corona virus.

The club announced this on Thursday evening.

Those affected - players, coaches and team members - are fully immunized, it said in a statement.

The training planned for the afternoon has been canceled and all infected people have gone into domestic isolation.

Mainz – The people of Mainz had already caught a violent corona wave at the beginning of the season.

The ninth in the table should play against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday (3.30 p.m. / Sky).
