Neubiberg suspends partnership with Russian city

The official town twinning between the Russian city of Chernogolowka and Neubiberg will be suspended until further notice.
The mayor and the association have now agreed on this.
In the past few days, there has been a heated discussion on the Neubiberg municipality's Facebook page about how to deal with the twin town of Chernogolowka in view of the Russian war of aggression.
The place is near Moscow.
During a discussion between the partnership association and Mayor Thomas Pardeller, it was agreed that the official partnership would be suspended until further notice.
All events that should have taken place this year as part of the 30th anniversary of the friendship must also be cancelled.
But this should not end the private friendships.
They continue to exist, as the chairman of the partnership association, Rainer Höcherl, explains.
Only the official partnership rests.
