On March 1, a woman in Amberg received a call from an unknown number.

It was a shock call with which the perpetrators tried to steal money.

Amberg – Reports of shock callers trying to wrest money from people, mostly older people, keep appearing in the media.

This is also the case with a woman from Amberg who was called by an unknown woman on Tuesday (March 1st).

She said her supposed daughter caused a fatal accident and could only be released if she gave a five-figure deposit or valuables.

This was announced by the police headquarters in Upper Palatinate.

If you also get a call from strangers, it is best to hang up as soon as you become suspicious or someone tries to pressure you.

Please also speak to a person you trust or call the emergency number 110 - the police themselves will never call you on the number 110, according to the police headquarters only scammers do that.

It is also important that under no circumstances do you give out private data or even information about your finances.

Also, do not let strangers into your apartment or house.

Contact the police as soon as you see anything suspicious.

On Tuesday evening (March 1), a passer-by claimed to have discovered a "revolver" in a group.

He alerted the police, but they found something else in the backpack.
