Senior member of the Russian opposition party to "Israel Today": "In the corridors depressed and disappointed" • Report: The government is shocked by the scale of the invasion and the severity of the sanctions •

What is happening these days in the corridors of Russian rule?

Outwardly, the Kremlin is broadcasting business as usual and the propaganda is trying to justify the "special operation" - but there are also the first signs of unrest.

In a conversation with Israel Today, a very senior figure in the non-systemic Russian opposition party says that in the Kremlin corridors he is "depressed and disappointed," and the phrase that is repeated in the conversations is "Putin betrayed us."

"Only a few days have passed, I guess eventually a group will be found that will keep him out of power," he added.

The senior official's remarks were reinforced by an advertisement on the Agnestabu website (formerly "Project"), one of the leaders in the field of investigations in Russia.

According to the website, government sources and sources in the financial circles say that they were not ready for sanctions, nor for Putin's decision to start a war.

One of the most senior officials said he "did not know" that the Russian army would embark on a large-scale invasion, and some went into shock when it became known about the outbreak of the war.

"It's just inconceivable," a government official said.

He said the cabinet was preparing for the sanctions that would come after the recognition of the separatist republics, but did not know about the decision to start a war.

A senior government corporation said that the scenario we were preparing for was a disconnection from SWIFT (International Clearing House), and that large companies were conducting performance tests in case of disconnection or discontinuation of chips and software; but no one expected the mass abandonment of the European market and almost All Western societies.

"Everyone in the market," a source close to the presidency told the website, but stressed that no one dares to leave.

"It is only possible to resign in the direction of prison," a government official added ironically.

The remarks come amid statements by two Russian oligarchs close to the Kremlin, Mikhail Friedman and Oleg Dripska.

The two spoke out against the continuation of the war, and according to some reports, billionaire Roman Abramovich was also asked to be involved in ceasefire talks.

Against the background of the revelations of resentment against going to war at the top of Russia, even the greatest opponent of Russian President Vladimir Putin referred for the first time yesterday to the war - and called, from his place of imprisonment, the masses to go out to demonstrate.

"Let's not be a nation of quiet, frightened people who pretend not to pay attention to the aggressive war in which a clearly insane tsar has started," Navalny tweeted. "Putin is not Russia. "Without an early call to the streets with the signs 'Not for war'. Let's not 'be' against war. Let's fight against war!"

Navalny, it will be recalled, is serving a prison sentence in a penal colony east of Moscow.

These days, inside the prison, a trial is being held against him in a new fabricated case.

The ones who are probably tweeting in his name are his wife and his lawyer.
