After his heart attack, Christian Stückl, director of the Passion Play in Oberammergau, is doing well again.
But the whole thing apparently gave him food for thought.
Oberammergau
– The rehearsals are running again.
The main actors have been on the big stage in the Oberammergau Passion Theater since Friday and go through the various scenes.
"Now at the weekend we're planning to enter Jerusalem and the outrage," says Frederik Mayet.
The Jesus actor, who also acts as press spokesman for the Passion Play, is in good spirits.
Just like game director Christian Stückl, who has already reported back after the heart attack he suffered at the end of February.
"He's fine," Mayet insists.
But the 60-year-old is also aware that the heart attack, which fortunately was mild, was a warning shot to take more care of himself.
"He mustn't overdo it, we also take care of that," says the Jesus actor.
At least you try.
Of course, the forced break set the team back a bit in preparation for the vow game, which premieres on May 14th.
"But not so that we get nervous." Especially since the work in the workshops of the Passion Theater and on the stage has continued.
Just like the rehearsals for the Living Pictures.
The choir and orchestra were also unaffected by Stückl's illness.
However, the people of Oberammergau who participate in the people have to be patient.
The recordings for the illustrated book will begin on Monday and will probably last until the end of March.
Only then are full rehearsals scheduled.
