In 2006, Ben Gorham arrived on the world of perfumes with Byredo.
This word comes from the Old English
redolence,
which means “fragrant perfume, evocative of memories”.
His journey is, like the name of his brand, to say the least original: born in Sweden, where he still lives, of an Indian mother and a Canadian father, from the height of his ninety meters, Ben destined for a basketball career.
Fate will decide otherwise.
At 25, he did several odd jobs before enrolling at the Royal School of Fine Arts in Stockholm, where he studied everything from painting to history to photography.
