Under the severe epidemic situation, many bus companies in Hong Kong announced to reduce their services, and a number of outing bus routes that provide services on weekends and holidays have become the target of "operations", including the 275R between Tai Po Market Railway Station and Wu Kau Teng.
The Transport Department announced a few days ago that due to the current severe epidemic, the number of infected people and the number of people who need to be isolated or quarantined continue to rise, which has seriously affected the manpower arrangements of franchised bus companies. Coupled with the tightening of social distancing measures implemented by the government, the number of passengers has dropped significantly recently. KMB, NWFB, Citybus, Long Win Bus and New Lantau Bus apply to the Transport Department for a new round of reduced service levels (including suspension of some routes with other alternative public transport services, outing routes that only provide services on holidays and overnight routes ) to maintain operations and resource deployment arrangements.

The suspended routes include picnic bus routes that only operate on weekends and holidays, such as KMB route 275R running only on red days, between Tai Po Market Railway Station and Wu Kau Teng.
KMB recommends that those travelling to Wu Kau Teng and Sina Tan can take the green minibus 20R.
Several Saigon bus lines that serve weekends and holidays have been suspended, but regular routes such as 94 are still in service.

A number of KMB's special routes to and from Sai Kung will also be suspended until further notice, including 99R (between University Station and Sai Kung North on red sun), 96R (from Diamond Hill Station and Wong Shek Pier on weekends and red sun), 92R (on weekends and red sun) Days to and from Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier and Wong Shek Ferry Pier) and 289R (weekends and red days to and from Shatin City Centre and Wong Shek Ferry Pier).
KMB advised the public to take regular routes such as 99, 299X, 92 and 94 to enter and leave Sai Kung.
In addition, the Red Sun special route of the Citybus and NWFB, and the 15B between The Peak and Wanchai (New Exhibition) are also suspended. The public can choose the 15 route between Central and the Peak.
