March LA.B: the Daft Punk of time

For its tenth anniversary, the French brand March LA.B has decided to assemble the movements of its watches in France.


What remains of watchmaking France?

After the wave of quartz in the 1970s, not much more, to tell the truth… A few last of the Mohicans have however been joined in recent years by a real new wave of watchmaking.

What if we reversed the course of time?

So thought Alain Marhic, founder of March LA.B.

For the tenth anniversary of his brand, he decided to do without the Japanese automatic movements that give life to his creations.

From now on, they will be Swiss… But assembled in France!

This is undoubtedly a first in the history of Swiss made.

“When I started, I wanted to create French watches,

he explains.

But I had not found a partner.

By default, I had adopted Swiss made movements.

Then, after two years, I started again differently, with affordable French watches and Japanese movements.”
