A journalist was murdered Friday in Mexico, in a region hit by an increase in violence linked to drug trafficking, said a local official source, confirming the sixth killing of an informant since the beginning of the year.

“I condemn the act that this afternoon targeted Fresnillo Juan Carlos Muniz, who worked for the information portal Testigo Minero. We express our solidarity with his relatives, friends and colleagues
