The man drove eight times without a license, twice completely drunk.

The Eglinger is "completely incorrigible" - and now has a criminal record.

Egling/Wolfratshausen – His driver's license was taken from him in 2017.

However, this did not stop an Eglinger from continuing to get behind the wheel.

The 54-year-old former administrative employee has now been sentenced to one year in prison by the Wolfratshausen district court for driving without a license in eight cases, two of which he was completely drunk.

The sentence was suspended for three years.

Man drives without a license but with a high blood alcohol level: suspended sentence

It started with a traffic accident: when the accused drove from Egling to Wolfratshausen at around 6:30 p.m. on July 12 last year to get a pizza, he was on State Road 2070 near the Pupplinger Au intersection with his small car come off

"He admitted that he wasn't allowed to drive," reported the investigating police officer, who from then on paid special attention to the Eglinger on his patrols.

The officer said he was certain that the accused had used the car regularly because it had always been parked in a slightly different position in front of the house.

With more than three per thousand on the road: the accused doubts this value

But it wasn't until October 22nd that the man was checked again, around 1 p.m., "with a clean intoxication," as the police officer explained - 2.73 per mille to be exact.

Less than ten days later, on October 31 at around 2:30 p.m. this time, the blood sample after a police check showed a blood alcohol level of 3.03.

"Something's wrong," said the accused, who had not found his way to court on his own on the day of the trial, but had to be taken by the police.

He put his daily consumption at an average of "three beers and three schnapps".

When he was told that the calculated blood alcohol levels could not possibly come out, he sheepishly admitted that it could have been more.

Judgment for driving drunk without a license: suspended sentence

The other drunk driving cases listed in the indictment were based on statements from neighbors.

"What bothered me is that he drives drunk when children go to school on the street," explained a witness why she reported the man.

Judge Helmut Berger sentenced Eglinger, who, according to an expert, is clearly limited in his ability to control due to his alcoholism, to one year's imprisonment on probation.

"He is completely unteachable, fines have not the slightest effect on him," the judge justified his judgment with regard to three previous convictions of the man, all for driving without a license.

As a condition, the Eglinger must go to talks with the Caritas addiction counseling center to draw up a treatment and therapy plan.
