The interventions of the owners of tourism companies, establishments, and tourism and travel offices during the annual meeting of the General Authority of the Tartous Chamber of Tourism focused on the need to overcome all difficulties and obstacles that hinder tourism work in general and activate internal tourism with all its components, especially the popular ones and the open beaches.
During the meeting, which was held under the slogan (Tourism is Hope and Work), in the presence of the Minister of Tourism, Eng. Mohamed Rami Martini, he called for organizing tourism work and looking into the issue of prices, wages and taxes, in addition to the need to invest more archaeological sites and organize the Tartous seafront in a manner befitting this tourist province and what it owns. One of the components of tourism work in general, with the increase in fuel stations allocations during the tourist season.
In a statement to reporters after laying the foundation stone for the tourist information center on the sea corniche in Tartous, the Minister of Tourism explained that it will serve as a tourist instruction center, hoping that the private sector will be an essential and effective partner, especially in these circumstances.
In turn, Youssef Moisha, head of the Chamber of Tourism in Tartous, pointed out in a statement to SANA reporter that the tourist information center, which will be built on an area of approximately 70 square meters, will serve as a tourist guide for each of the owners of tourism and travel offices and tourist facilities, in addition to tourists to provide all information related to programs, prices, taxes and others, in order to activate for the tourism sector in the governorate.
The laying of the foundation stone for the Tourist Information Center and the meeting of the General Authority of the Chamber of Tourism was attended by Tartous Governor Safwan Abu Saadi, the Secretary of the Baath Arab Socialist Party branch, Muhammad Habib Hussein, City Council President Judge Muhammad Zain, and the President of the Federation of the Chamber of Tourism in Syria, Engineer Talal Khudair, and a number of managers, stakeholders and the tourist family in the governorate.
