The results of the championship for the juniors category resulted in the winning of Ahmed Riad champion in the 45 kg weight, Mahmoud Alili in the 50 kg weight category, Abdul Karim Khallouf in the 55 kg weight category, Mustafa Moslab in the 60 kg weight category, Ahmed Ibrahim in the 66 kg weight category, Bashir Haritani in the 73 kg weight, Walid Abu Bakr in the 90 kg weight category, and Basil Alabi in the over 90 weight category. kg freedom.
As for the women’s category, the competition ended with the victory of Rawan Abu Nuri (44 kg), Halima Al-Mousa (48 kg), Zainab Habash (52 kg), Esraa Aliyah (57 kg), and Aisha Alloush (70 kg).
Al-Hurriya Club came first in the overall standings of the teams in both categories with five gold, one silver and three bronze, followed by the Police with four gold, two silver and two bronze, then the Army with three gold, two silver and one bronze.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Anas Al-Rasheed, a member of the Judo Federation, indicated that the good results achieved by the governorate team in the women's category in this tournament reflect the potential of the distinguished technical players and the superiority of the Police and Freedom Club in this sport for the female categories and the efforts made by those in charge of it.
Police Club coach Omar Houran confirmed that his players have proven their worth and ability to develop their potential despite the strong levels participating in the tournament, pointing out the importance of good preparation for such tournaments, expecting his players to brilliance in the future.
A number of crowned players confirmed that the will, determination and continuous training enabled them to compete vigorously and achieve good results in this tournament, noting at the same time their readiness to maintain and develop their technical level for the upcoming benefits in the Republic Championship.
It is noteworthy that the Republic Championship for junior and female categories will be held on the twelfth of this month in Lattakia.
