Pop star Thomas Anders wants to help Ukrainian children – he campaigns for donations

The whole of Europe has been in a state of shock since February 24, because no one saw the Russian invasion of Ukraine coming.

Not only are millions of citizens taking to the streets against the war, prominent voices are also speaking out.

This also includes Thomas Anders, who is stunned by the bloody conflict, but would also like to get involved: "What we can do now is to help the little ones, because they are defenseless.

With your donations you are helping to alleviate the suffering," he wrote on Instagram under a post in which he called for donations for the country's children surprised by the war.

Thomas Anders cancels Russia concerts for the time being – Schlagerstar wants to set an example

In addition, the modern-talking singer wants to set an important example and therefore canceled all his Russia concerts that he should have given in the next few weeks.

The 59-year-old definitely wants to make up for this at a later date, as he explained in the RTL interview.

However, his Russian fans could not really understand the cancellation of the appointment: A fan club director expressed her regret that Thomas Anders drew such consequences because of a "small conflict".

"I then wrote to her: Rockets are flying at cities like Kyiv and others, people are dying, it's no small conflict," said the hit star.

Thomas Anders criticizes the lack of information in Russia - "People don't want this war"

The misunderstanding was due to the disinformation ordered by the Kremlin through the Russian media, as Thomas Anders revealed in the interview: "I'm an entertainer, I don't do politics.

But I know that the Russian people don't want this war.

The political leadership of Russia is at war with Ukraine or the Ukrainian leadership.

I doubt that the Russian people really know anything at all.”

With his statement, the former fellow musician of Dieter Bohlen (68; all information about Germany's pop titan) sets an important example, because his statements clearly underline that the actions of the Russian government and the actual interests of the people are strictly separated.
