Wernigerode - On March 5th, Domenico Tarantino (24) not only dusted off Ilse DeLange's (44) golden CD on "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" (DSDS), he also caused great emotions in the glass cube (all news about DSDS is available on the topic page).
The DSDS candidate moved the jury around Florian Silbereisen to tears with a heartbreaking story from his childhood.

Moving life story moves DSDS jury to tears
He travels to the DSDS casting with a person who is already known to the viewers.
Daniel "Ludi" Ludwig took part in the casting show last year and made it into the top nine.
With "Bruises" by Lewis Capaldi, Domenico wants to convince the jury and secure a ticket for the foreign recall.
But the singer doesn't just knock the jury off his feet with his voice.
His emotional life story also hits the heart of Toby Gad (53), Ilse DeLange and Florian Silbereisen (40) (here is all the information about this year's DSDS jury).
Domenico is gay, which caused him a lot of trouble with his father.

“The relationship with my father was complicated.
I'm gay and he grew up in an Italian, strictly Catholic village.
So you can imagine that he didn't like it," explains the 24-year-old.
"When I was younger, I became a victim of domestic violence," Domenico said in the opening credits for his casting appearance. "I thought it was normal to have to live with physical consequences if you didn't tick as you should," he continues.
Death drama at DSDS – Domenico's father fell ill with cancer
But the shock came four years ago: Domenico's father fell ill with cancer: "Then I was in the hospital on the last day.
Somehow I had a feeling, this is the moment when I will see him for the last time.
I could tell him that I forgive him for what happened," Domenico reveals.
An incredibly difficult time for the singer, which the judges highly appreciate.
During this emotional moment, not a dry eye stays with the otherwise cheerful jury.
Domenico's companion Ludi is also fighting back tears.
The 24-year-old bank consultant is completely overwhelmed himself, because he may not have expected Ilse DeLange's golden CD.
Paloma Schilder reveals a difficult fate story at DSDS
DSDS candidate Paloma also had to cope with a heavy blow of fate as a child.
She grew up in the Brazilian favelas.
There, her mother was shot while she was working, as she reveals to the jury in the casting.
