Occupied Jerusalem-SANA
The Palestinian Prisoners Club confirmed that the Israeli occupation continues to detain 32 female prisoners, including a girl, in very difficult circumstances.
Wafa news agency quoted the Palestinian Prisoners Club as saying in a statement today on the occasion of International Women's Day, which falls on March 8 of each year: that the Israeli occupation continues to detain 32 Palestinian female prisoners it is holding in Damon detention center, including the 15-year-old girl, Nafth Hammad, and 6 wounded.
The club indicated that Damoon prison lacks the minimum necessities of life, and female prisoners are subjected to psychological and physical torture from the moment of their arrest, pointing out that the suffering of wounded and sick female prisoners, led by Esraa Al-Jaabis, is constantly aggravating as a result of deliberate medical neglect against them.
The club indicated that the captive Jaabis needs a series of surgeries in the hands, ears and face, and she is in dire need of a special suit for treating burns, indicating that the occupation authorities refuse to provide her with the minimum health conditions necessary for her.
The club appealed to international organizations concerned with prisoners' affairs to pressure the occupation to stop its violations of the rights of female prisoners and all Palestinian prisoners in its prisons.
