Lawyer Fahd Safdi arrived today (Sunday) at the Magistrate's Court in Nazareth with the Ukrainian flag on his arm.

"Kyiv is my city. That's where I studied and I identify with the attacked people," the lawyer said.

Safdie, who represented a suspect during a hearing on the police request to extend his detention, arrived at the courthouse with the flag wrapped around his arm.

But court security guards told him that according to the binding procedures in the courts, appearances with symbols and slogans were forbidden.

In response, Safdi informed the security guards that the judge had not commented to him on this, and therefore the guards contacted the judge.
