Education honors 25 talented students with disabilities

Damascus, SANA- 25 male and female students with disabilities possess various talents and creativity, which were presented within the “Dawy Ya Qamar” program.

25 male and female students with disabilities possessing various talents and creativity, which were shown within the “Dawy Ya Qamar” program on the educational satellite channel. The Ministry of Education honored them today at the headquarters of the Al-Rajaa Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities in Damascus.

The ceremony honoring the students who are sponsored by various charities and civil institutions included theatrical, lyrical and sports performances, as well as artworks of drawings and decorations produced by the honored students.

In a speech during the honoring between Minister of Education Dr. Darem Tabbaa, the aim of the honor is to encourage students to give more, continue creativity and challenge disability, in addition to integrating them into society by highlighting their achievements, stressing the importance of cooperation between family, school and social welfare institutes to support and develop their talents.

Ghassan Al-Saleh, a member of the Board of Directors of Al-Rajaa Association, pointed to the importance of media and specialized programs to introduce talents of different ages and fields to people with disabilities and the importance of this in activating integration into society, pointing out that the association provides its services to about 180 people with disabilities through a set of educational, educational and rehabilitation programs.

For her part, the producer of the Dawy Ya Qamar program, Nightingale Youssef, which was shown on the educational satellite screen last month, indicated that its aim is to convey a message about the capabilities and skills of a number of people with disabilities and the actual need for their support and care.

A number of honored students expressed their happiness with the honor, as Lana Amour indicated that her loss of sight was not an obstacle to pursuing the hobby of singing and continuous training.

The two students, Muhannad Al-Rifai and Mahdi Sharkas, pointed out that presenting paragraphs of the Shami exhibition and artistic drawings in front of viewers of the television program and during the honoring ceremony is an opportunity to introduce their talents and that the real human will succeeds in overcoming any obstacle.
