(CNN Spanish) --

Milan Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week have taken place in the midst of terrible moments during the horrific and cruel invasion of Ukraine by the Russians.

Both are organized before and it is very difficult and complex to cancel them.

It is that after two years of pandemic, the world of fashion – which employs millions of people around the planet, and has been so hit by the consequences of covid-19 – celebrated its most anticipated face-to-face fashion shows in the last two years with attendance of guests and journalists from around the world.

A great human and economic effort, and they have finally been celebrated, but taking into account above all, an impressive spirit of great solidarity and absolute respect for the human tragedy that is happening in Ukraine.

Designers, as well as assistants and celebrities, sent a strong message of brotherhood to Ukraine including the presence of the sober black from head to toe and the blue and yellow colors of the Ukrainian flag in many shows, as in the designs of Issey Miyake.

Just like the Balenciaga parade, which ended with a yellow and a blue model, the colors with which Salma Hayek, whose husband –Francois-Henri Pinault– is the owner of the brand, was dressed.

Models, like the famous Hadid sisters, have been actively showing their strong support for refugees, donating large amounts of money to the cause, including all that they have earned working on these shows.

And we must mention the emotional show of Giorgio Armani, in Milan, which was done in total silence, without music or words, as a gesture of great respect for the moment in which we live.

A 100% supportive position of compassion and fraternity that is worthy of admiration.

A human factor present, in the first row, as is already a usual part of our modern –and very harmonious– lifestyle.
