She puts a stop to illegal puppy traders: the Munich animal rights activist Melanie Schmidt (name changed).
Once again she has freed cute baby animals from the clutches of the dog mafia.
Munich – A dealer from Poland had offered five dachshund puppies and Australian Shepherd dogs via the Internet portal eBay classifieds.
"Without permission and without a valid rabies vaccination," says Schmidt.
"A neighbor in Poland also has Chihuahuas for sale."

A woman from Regensburg finally put her in contact and acted as an interpreter.
Melanie Schmidt pretended to buy two dachshunds for 900 euros each - but in reality she set a trap for the dealer who has been selling puppies to Germany for two years.
On Sunday afternoon, March 6th, the dogs were handed over near Karl-Preis-Platz.
Two men pulled up in a white Fiat Fiorino with the puppies in the trunk.
The police* had been informed long ago and were already waiting.
After Melanie Schmidt had apparently come to an agreement with the dealers in a mock sales pitch, civil servants showed up and received the crooks.
Rescued: The puppies are now initially in rabies quarantine.

In such cases, the officers seize the dogs and take them to the station.
how old are the puppies
Are they chipped?
How is your health?
All of this is then examined.
"Then the dogs first come into rabies quarantine," explains Schmidt.
"The veterinary office in Munich then decides what happens next."
Melanie Schmidt meets the dealers as a supposed customer (above).
Then the investigators in civilian clothes take over.

Such illegal animal offers are not uncommon, as confirmed by Kristina Berchtold from the Munich Animal Welfare Association*.
"The more popular pets are, the more the illegal trade is booming." Cats and dogs are just as affected as exotic animals.
She appeals to everyone who wants to get an animal to look around in an animal shelter.
"Actually, there is the right animal for everyone in animal welfare if you take your time." CLAUDIA SCHURI *tz.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA
