Women's Day in Mexico: AMLO asks that the 8M marches be without violence 0:42
(CNN Spanish) --
In Mexico, on March 8, thousands of women will shout against gender violence.
Feminist groups have called marches to commemorate International Women's Day.
Several feminist organizations in Mexico are calling for marches on March 8 and a national women's strike on March 9, known as "A day without us."
"Don't you want to listen to us? Produce without us," says the call of the collective Las Brujas del Mar.
In 2020 we flooded the streets one day and disappeared the next.
Stopping activities, making visible unpaid work, informal employment and the sectors where we are indispensable... that day, we paralyzed more than $40 billion of the country's economy.
This #9M, we stop.
