The Apple brand unveiled a more compact device on Tuesday evening that features a 5G chip and its latest A15 Bionic processor. He is

All that was missing was him in the family of iPhones compatible with the 5G mobile network.

Apple unveiled Tuesday evening, the iPhone SE version 2022, the third of this model.

It is the natural successor to its most affordable smartphone, the iPhone SE 2020, which will gradually be sold before evaporating from the catalog.

The American giant reproduces the successful formula of the first iPhone SE, released six years ago and which has become a not too expensive gateway into the compartmentalized universe of bitten apple devices.

The strategy of this model?

Recycle as many components as possible from previous devices to reduce costs and offer a cheaper model than its 2020 iPhone 11 range. In short, cover the entire spectrum of its potential customers while optimizing its stock.

It is offered at 529 euros for the version with 64 GB of storage, at 579 euros for 128 GB and at 699 euros for 256 GB.

Faster than iPhone 8

From the outside, the 3rd generation iPhone SE, like its predecessor, has the shape of an iPhone 8 with its physical “Home” button which once again houses the Touch ID fingerprint reader.

A design seen and reviewed because it dates from September 2017.

Apple logically had to make technical concessions to compress the final price.

Exit the Oled screen of high-end devices and more expensive to produce, the iPhone SE of 2022 is satisfied with a 4.7-inch Retina HD LCD screen.

A simple 12 megapixel photo sensor allows you to take pictures that the software processing of the device will optimize.

On the other hand, Apple engineers have not skimped on the means for the use of everyday applications and games.

Already present in the iPhone 13, the powerful in-house A15 Bionic processor integrates the SE technical sheet and promises fluidity worthy of the latest iPhones sold for two years.

"The iPhone SE is thus up to 1.8 times faster than the iPhone 8," says Apple.

The arrival of a 5G chip, an originally expensive component, indicates a desire to project into the future.

Compatibility with 5G networks – whose interest in terms of connection speed still seems limited – puts this mid-range iPhone in the long term because it will still be relevant in two to three years.

Face recognition with mask is coming

Available for sale on March 18 and for pre-order from March 11, it will be available in black, white and in a special red edition.

On the tablet front, an iPad Air 5 points to its 10.9-inch LCD screen and also adopts 5G compatibility.

It is equipped with the M1 chip processor which already equips the latest MacBooks.

It will be sold from March 18 from 699 euros and the wi-fi + SIM card model from 869 euros.

Above all, the Californian giant presented its great novelty for creative professionals, in particular audiovisual, with the addition to its range of the Mac Studio, a computer tower in the form of a compact box.

A monster of computing power powered by a brand new in-house processor: the M1 Ultra chip.

Finally, Apple has confirmed that version 15.4 of its iOS operating system will be available for download next week.

It is eagerly awaited because it will notably allow you to unlock your device or pay using Face Y facial recognition… While keeping your mask on.
