70 apartments were searched by police officers from the Cologne police.
There was a prime suspect.
Cologne – On Tuesday morning (March 8), around 260 police officers searched 70 apartments and a company in the Rhineland for fake vaccination cards.
The investigations were mainly directed against a doctor's assistant, as the police and public prosecutor's office in Cologne announced.
Her private home was also searched.
In addition to Cologne, the raid also ran in Leverkusen, the Rhein-Erft district, the Mettmann district and the Oberberg district.

According to the police, more than 50 suspected forged vaccination cards were secured in various objects.
Officials also discovered "various paraphernalia used to produce fake health certificates," a spokesman said.
The mobile phones were confiscated as evidence.
Silver bars and coins worth more than 40,000 euros and around 60,000 euros in cash were also secured in a company in Frechen.
According to the police, the owner is suspected of forging vaccination cards and trading with them.
Now it is being checked whether the silver and cash found have anything to do with the Corona fraud.
Meanwhile, there have been no arrests.
In the run-up to the action, however, no arrest warrants had been requested.

In addition, 15 other procedures are being investigated in which, among other things, fake vaccination cards are said to have been presented in pharmacies or to the employer for digitization.
A total of 77 suspects between the ages of 16 and 74 are being targeted by the authorities.
The investigation group "Stempel" had already started a major search operation three weeks ago.
At that time, a good 200 police officers were on duty and a total of 40 apartments were searched.
