The environmental candidate called on Jonathan Mannion, an American artist who has worked with many rappers.

Yannick Jadot has just chosen one of the most iconoclastic official photographers!

It is Jonathan Mannion, an American artist with worldwide notoriety, who is preparing to create the campaign poster for the environmentalist presidential candidate.

The shooting session took place on Sunday afternoon in a studio in the 14th arrondissement of the capital.

Jonathan Mannion became famous in the world of rap by photographing the entire American hip-hop scene at the end of the 1980s (Jay Z of course, but also Dr Dre, Aaliyah, Lauryn Hill, Outkast, Nas, DMX, The Game, Run-DMC, Nicki Minaj, Brandy Norwood and more recently Kendrick Lamar…).

Jonathan Mannion, 51, is also the author of some 300 album covers, clips and advertising campaigns such as that of Beats by Dre...

In France, he worked with NTM (Suprême NTM) or Oxmo Puccino (on the album L'amour est mort).

Mannion worked for a year with Richard Avedon, another star of New York and world photography, in his Manhattan studio.

He has also collaborated with Ben Watts, Steven Klein and Marc Hom.

"We did not pay the rates that Jonathan Mannion is used to"

The visual of the poster of the environmental candidate has not yet been decided.

As for the fees paid by the Greens to the billionaire artist, they have not been communicated to us.

“Obviously we didn't pay the rates that Jonathan Mannion is used to.

A party like ours wouldn't have the means,” says a member of Yannick Jadot's team.

Campaign posters often play an important role in the image and the message that a candidate wants to convey to public opinion.

One of the most striking was that of François Mitterrand, in 1981. The socialist candidate, gazing into the distance, a slogan "Quiet strength", displayed in black and white on a blue-white-red gradient, a landscape countryside a church steeple.

The surprising poster for a left-wing man preceded François Mitterrand's presidential victory.

She has become iconic.

Jadot dreams of the same fate even if the polls do not return the same little music...
