This is, in essence, Emmanuel Macron's strategy for the big month of campaigning that awaits him before the presidential election of April 10 and 24, 2022. While he told his relatives, Monday noon at his HQ, that he would ultimately not participate in the major public meeting organized by his troops this weekend in Marseille - he will be represented there by Gérald Darmanin - the Head of State also confirmed that he would refuse to debate directly with his eleven opponents before the first round.
