It had already become known in November that changes were pending at the Oberndorf bathing area (we reported).

The long-term tenant family was given notice, new tenants were sought, and the building will not remain as it was.

Now the renovation work has started.

Everything should be ready by the start of the season.

A new tenant is in sight, but the contract has not yet been signed.

Oberndorf

- The Oberndorfer Badegelände am Wörthsee belongs to the Inninger district of Schlagenhofen.

The 70,000 square meter area is owned by Count Hans Caspar zu Toerring-Jettenbach.

The meadow is to the recreation area association, the kiosk was last leased to the Heudecker family from Munich, who had managed it since 1975.

Both leases expired at the end of the year.

The one with the recreation area club was extended, but not the one with the Heudeckers.

On behalf of the association, the district takes care of the area and the obligation to ensure traffic safety.

The Inninger Bauhof always makes sure that things are "tidy".

The building was dilapidated.

The Graf zu Toerring-Jettenbach company administration had to decide between renovation or a new building.

The old building was originally supposed to be demolished.

The choice fell on a renovation.

This work is now in full swing.

The older building had to be gutted first.

At the same time, the recreation area association has started to renovate the sanitary facilities.

On the one hand there is the toilet directly at the kiosk, on the other hand the little house on the path in the southern area of the bathing area.

"Everything no longer meets the requirements," says Martin Zerhoch from the Seefeld Rent Office of the Count of Toerring-Jettenbach.

In addition, the number of toilets no longer corresponds to the number of visitors, which has recently increased enormously.

A third, additional facility is therefore planned in the northern area of the bathing area.

It is not yet clear whether these toilets will be used all year round or not.

This topic has recently also occupied the neighboring communities of Lake Wörth, since there is not a single public toilet on the Rotarian circular route in winter, which is becoming increasingly popular.

"We're still negotiating," says Zerhoch.

Otherwise, nothing will change in the stock of the kiosk.

The enclosed space will remain the same, only the rooms will be renovated.

The Rent Office has already found a tenant.

"Verbal agreement is reached, but a contract has not yet been signed." Until then, the name will remain a secret.

Zerhoch only reveals this much: "It's someone from the district, very close by."

The work on the kiosk and the sanitary facilities should be completed by the start of the bathing season.

"Our goal is to open as soon as you can go swimming again." Probably at the end of May, beginning of June.
