Discovering the unknown treasures of Portuguese silent cinema.
As the France-Portugal 2022 Season begins, Portuguese cultural news promises to be particularly rich.
At the Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation, carte blanche is given to the Lisbon Cinematheque.
Its curator, Tiago Baptista, offers a program of cine-concerts to introduce Parisians to the rarities of silent cinema from the years 1919 to 1934. Between literary adaptations and experimental works, this cycle shows great stylistic originality.
Note that all the sessions are accompanied by pianists from the improvisation class of Jean-François Zygel from the CNSM in Paris.
Until March 29 at the Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation.
