The Turkish regime authorities arrested 101 arbitrarily dismissed soldiers, in continuation of the five-year campaign to liquidate the military establishment.
The Turkish newspaper, Zaman, reported that the anti-terrorism, intelligence and gendarmerie teams of the Izmir Security Directorate launched simultaneous security campaigns in 38 districts, centered in Izmir, to arrest 73 arbitrarily dismissed cadets and 28 soldiers, some of whom are in the army.
These arrests come with the alleged association of these people with the preacher Fethullah Gulen, whom Recep Tayyip Erdogan accuses of being behind the 2016 coup attempt.
Since the coup attempt more than five years ago, Erdogan's regime has launched a severe repressive campaign targeting its opponents, as hundreds of thousands of people have been arrested and dismissed in various civil, military and judicial institutions in the country.
