War in Ukraine: Pastor rails in service - "Putin is like Hitler"

The press is under pressure in the state of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The parish priest of Erding, Martin Garmaier, found clear words on Sunday about the war that Russia has forced on its neighboring country Ukraine.

- During the service in St. John's Church, he castigated Russian President Vladimir Putin as a self-absorbed egomaniac possessed by the devil and even compared him to Adolf Hitler.
Garmaier said: "Who would have thought that such a war would be possible again.
We all thought that we had drawn the conclusions from World War II and that it is better to accept each other despite different opinions than to expose ourselves to destructive danger or even instigate it.” In Putin he sees a “ruthless dictator in a row Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin”.

Garmaier went into the Greek legend of the self-loving Narcissus, who only sees his own image in a mirror and the surface of a lake, but is not receptive to the love of others.
For the pugnacious pastor, Putin is a "morbid narcissist who sees himself as the greatest, but remains alone".
Such people "cannot love."
The problem is "that such behavior leads to ruin".
Putin doesn't care, "even if the world ends, the main thing is that he stands there as the one who caused so much".
That is why the concern is justified that Putin will press the nuclear button, “even at the price of destroying Europe or even the whole world”.

War in Ukraine: Pastor Garmaier from Erding pays respect to Western governments
Garmaier praised the policies of the western world, which credibly do everything to stop the war.
A lot is being done right here these days.
He exempted the AfD from this praise.
He found it shameful that the AfD people had remained seated in the Bundestag, although all MPs had risen from their seats after the Ukrainian ambassador's speech as a sign of support to standing applause.
According to Garmaier, the AfD is also narcissistic and its behavior disrespectful.
