Charging e-cars at public charging stations is becoming more and more expensive.

Industry leader Tesla has now raised the price again.

Palo Alto - With the current fuel prices of over two euros per liter, one could think about buying an electric car.

Especially because there is no improvement in the situation in sight for Super and Diesel.

Rather, the Ukraine war* exacerbates the situation even further.

But electricity prices have also risen enormously in recent months.

In 2021, a kilowatt hour (Kwh) cost an average of 30.73 cents.

At the beginning of 2022 it was already 39.73 cents, as the consumer portal

Verivox

reports.

Therefore, the charging station providers for e-cars are now forced to adjust their charging tariffs.

A number of companies have already picked up properly - including the e-car pioneer Tesla*.

The group around Elon Musk only raised prices in December.

At that time, the costs rose from 40 to 45 cents per Kwh.

Now it's getting more expensive again, as

teslamag.de

writes.

Since Monday (March 8), a kilowatt hour has cost three cents more, i.e. 48 cents.

The price increase in the Netherlands is even more extreme.

There, Tesla electricity now costs 37 cents instead of 27 cents.

So a whopping price increase of 37 percent.

Tesla is increasing the price even more drastically in the Netherlands

The interesting thing: In Germany, only Tesla cars can be charged at the Tesla Superchargers.

In the Netherlands, cars of other brands have also been able to recharge there since February.

However, drivers of third-party brands already had to pay more anyway.

For them, a kilowatt hour on the Supercharger costs 70 cents.

For a monthly subscription of 12.99 euros, you can also refuel at the Tesla rate, i.e. now for 37 cents.
