Epidemic | Food and Health Bureau and medical professional groups meet to promote the implementation of eight anti-epidemic measures

At the meeting, Chen Zhaoshi, Permanent Secretary of Food and Health Bureau (Health) Chen Songqing and Deputy Director of Food and Health Bureau, Dr. Xu Deyi, explained the latest development of the current severe epidemic to representatives of the medical and health sector.

Chen Zhaoshi said that in response to the development of the epidemic, the government hopes that medical groups can assist in the implementation of the following eight anti-epidemic measures:

(1) Private hospitals continue to admit more patients referred by the Hospital Authority

(2) Strengthening medical care services to support the sick elderly

(3) Medical support for community isolation facilities

(4) Join the anti-epidemic team of the HA

(5) Assist in accelerating the promotion of new crown vaccination work

(6) Private hospitals and private clinics will continue to admit patients, and community pharmacies will continue to operate

(7) Provide telemedicine services for new crown patients

(8) Strengthen the dissemination of information on epidemic prevention and control of the novel coronavirus disease to the public

At the meeting, representatives of the medical and health sector each introduced the anti-epidemic work their groups have participated in, and promised to mobilize their medical professionals to assist in the implementation of the above-mentioned anti-epidemic measures.

The Food and Health Bureau will follow up the implementation situation with various medical and nursing groups to ensure that there are sufficient manpower support for various anti-epidemic measures.
