Last Hanukkah, in early December, a Palestinian vehicle deviating from its lane collided violently with a vehicle of the Oded family on Road 446 near Ofarim in Binyamin.
As a result of the accident, the children of Yaniv and Hoodia, Hilleli (6) and Tov Rai (3), were killed, the fetus that Hoodia was carrying also died and she has remained unconscious ever since.
The father of the family, Yaniv, was defined as humanly injured, but he soon regained consciousness in an attempt to restore his life in the shadow of the disaster that befell his family.

"The students received the news of the accident in a difficult way," says the school's principal, Zuri Ezran. "They were very attached to him, and they had a lot of questions about the accident and its tragic consequences. In the end, it is a new school, small and family-run. There are four educators and suddenly one of them has disappeared, it is not easy."
Azran, like everyone else, was moved by Yaniv's visit, but he says he is not at all surprised, "Rabbi Yaniv is a special person. I am not surprised by his recovery. I know him well, he fights both body and mind with a lot of spirit. "In the simplest and purest way that his wife would wake up. In yesterday's conversation, everyone was excited and I also had a hard time stopping the tears. This is the first time since the accident that he comes to school and it seemed as if he came as usual to teach."
