The conversion of Landshuter and Moosburger Strasse in Langenpreising, especially in the area where the right of way bends, is taking shape.

At its meeting on Monday evening, the municipal council envisaged a solution with a roundabout.

Langenpreising – The WipflerPlan office was represented by Gregor Schober and Sebastian Rehm, the latter had developed the first design plans and is now presenting them.

In any case, it won't be cheap: Depending on the variant, the costs vary between 1.86 and 2.24 million euros, although these are only initial estimates because there is no final height plan yet.

This is important because the street is to be lowered in some areas, as reported by Deputy Mayor Leo Melerowitz (CSU).

It is also not quite clear what additional costs can be expected when disposing of old tar.

After all, the planners have planned an amount for such imponderables.

The aim of the whole thing is to slow down traffic, combined with a thorough reorganization in the area of the junction.

The rule "Right before left", which applies throughout the local area, should then also be applied to Moosburger and Landshuter Straße up to the town sign, which might take some getting used to at first.

But after its downgrading, it's no longer a state highway, and the community is now in charge.

Variant one dispenses with a roundabout, but changes the right of way, combined with a pivoting of the axis out of town onto Landshuter Straße in order to slow down the traffic.

The other three variants, on the other hand, rely on a gyroscope, which is not unproblematic.

Criticism came from the Deimel family, who live directly on Landshuter Straße.

She fears an additional burden because the traffic would move closer to her house.

According to the planners, this can at least be partially addressed.

The variants otherwise differ in the sidewalk layout.

The roundabout will be 18 meters in diameter.

That doesn't sound like much, but according to the planners it's sufficient.

Franz Neumüller (FWG) reminded that agricultural vehicles are getting bigger and bigger.

The planners showed that these will also come through reasonably.

In the further debate, however, the variant that would have meant a narrowing of Landshuter Straße in favor of a wider sidewalk was ruled out, among other things.

Melerowitz wanted to know what the funding situation looks like.

There are no figures for this yet, but Rehm raised hopes for the municipal council: "We will be able to apply for a large amount of funding there."

Bernhard Lanzinger (Greens) asked about the schedule.

Applications for funding must be submitted by August 31st.

Mayor Josef Straßer (FWG) therefore said that one should "get going".

The Council then wants to decide on a final variant on March 22nd.

What should the new Zornedinger station forecourt look like?

Opinions differ on this question.

The railway has at least completely different ideas than those responsible in the municipal council.

This was shown by the most recent building committee meeting, in which there was harsh criticism of the plans.

Füssen – The area on Luitpoldstraße, where a snack bar offers kebabs, should be nicer.

Among other things, the number of parking spaces should be reduced.

With the conversion of Landshuter and Moosburger Straße in Langenpreising, the divisions, i.e. the supply and disposal lines, are also affected.

There has not yet been a vote on this in the council.

For this reason, the question of the construction period - nine months is assumed - could not be answered conclusively.

In the meeting on Monday, it was already reasonably certain that the water association would completely replace the water pipe.

What the other division carriers plan is open.

Sebastian Rehm from the WipflerPlan office said that Telekom, for example, could still come up with ideas here.

In any case, something has to happen underground: It was reported in the council that an opening was closed.

So far, there has been no statement as to what the municipality is doing with the sewage pipes.

All of this plays a role in planning the construction schedule.

However, there are suggestions as to when it could start: In order to save costs, planner Gregor Schober suggested, when asked by Natalie Kienmüller-Stadler, that things should be managed in such a way that tendering can take place in the autumn.

"Then the companies will have their spring capacity, and then you'll get better prices," is the experience of the planner, which coincides with that of the community.
